"Second cassette album by this Austrian quartet, whose sound is more inside than I what usually dig, but shows enough variety to have some real highlights. For instance, “LIC” has something ineffable about its pulse that continuously puts me in mind of Can’s Soon Over Babaluma, which has long been one of my guilty pleasures. There is also an underlying sonic heft recalling Angelo Badalamenti’s work for Twin Peaks. But here it’s used to widen the breadth of what sometimes sound like Britpop readymades with occasional brilliant flashes . Definitely an interesting concept."
